I am a proud first-generation immigrant student. My motherland is Ayiti: land of High Mountains. Being an immigrant has shaped many aspects of my life. For the past three years, I have used my background to build relationships across the globe. Leading informal English classes at the University of Florida's English Learning Institute has solidified my life's passion: connecting and networking. Bridging gaps through intentional interactions have led me to become the cultural ambassador that I am today. 
 
My love for interacting with people led to a double major in linguistics and psychology. With my linguistics background, I studied Japanese, Kiswahili, and Spanish. I am a language learner enthusiast! Being a polyglot has contributed a lot of wonderful opportunities.
